Saturday Workshops
Affiliated to the WEA (Workers Educational Association), our Saturday Workshops are led by qualified staff and cover a wide range of topics. Art, pottery, textiles, cake decorating are just some of the courses available. Details of the courses will be published in our monthly newsletter. We went to Royal mint. First, were shown around the money making area and the displays. They had boxes with thousands of pound coins in them. We learned about the history of money and we all designed our own coin. Some of us minted our own £2 coin. After our visit we had lunch outside in the sun. We had a really nice day out.
